Step 1: Product Life Cycle

In my opinion the Moisturizing Black Soap Shampoo is currently in the mature stages of the product life cycle. I chose the mature stage because it has been operating since 2014 and most sales are coming from retail stores. The product hasn’t had any major changes or improvements except for its packaging designs.

Step 2: Product Changes

Based off the customers that completed the survey there were a few issues with the product and the customers also provided feedback on how to improve the product. Some of the customers had issues with the quality and some customers had issues with the after effects of the product. There were positive reviews such as the shampoo leaves the scalp with a deeper clean feeling and the shampoo leaves the hair more hydrated than other shampoo products. I feel as though the business owner should take the customers opinions and feedback comments into consideration for the future.

Step 3: New Product Development

I recommend the new Alikay Naturals Moisturizing Black Soap Shampoo with Dandruff Control. After reviewing the survey reports which the customers provided to help improve the company’s product. The customers said that the product is too watery and the new scent wasn’t a great advance for the new changes. But the scalp treatment evaluation wasn’t the same as the survey results. The shampoo doesn’t have the same consistency which was thick as the other shampoos.

Step 4: Production Methods

I feel as though the most production method would be the best choice because the business and product changes. Even though there may be changes based on the production cycle everyone should be included especially if the issue is with the car and not the production.
