The aspect of empowering others is important and key to the success of any business organization. Prior to taking the short survey on empowering others, I may have underestimated the importance and scope of empowering others in a business organization. This may have been because in most of the organizations I have worked for, I have not been in charge of a large group of people, especially past the departmental level. Taking this survey enabled me appreciate the scope of empowering others in a business organization, even if one is not a leader in the business organization. The questions in the short survey were relevant to the topic of empowering others in a business organization. In my opinion, the short survey exhaustively covered the aspect of empowering others in an organization. I learn from the survey that individuals in the work environment work better when empowered.

Empowering others, especially when leaders empower employees in an organization is important, not only for the wellbeing of the business organization, but also for the employee at an individual level. Employees that are psychologically empowered believe that they have the freedom to choose how to initiate and carry out tasks, that they are able to successfully carry out tasks, that their work is personally important, and finally, that their personal behavior at the workplace contributes to important outcomes. In addition, empowerment of employees significantly affects their creativity, results in higher intrinsic motivation and problem solving ability.

I scored highly in the individual questions in the survey on empowering others. I attained a high overall score as well. This demonstrates that I had good knowledge on the topic of empowering others in a business organization. My areas of strength as evidenced from this short survey include my ability to rate highly, indicating my prior knowledge on empowering others. My opportunities for growth judging from this survey include my chance to have better knowledge on empowering others and increasing its application in my current and future workplaces.

Team leader skills are essential to every leader in a business organization. Prior to taking the survey, I had some knowledge on team leadership. Taking the survey enabled me view team leadership in a broader scope, and enabled me appreciate the fact that team leadership skills are essential not only to team leaders but also to all individuals in business organizations, since everyone has the potential to become a team leader someday. The questions in the short survey were relevant to the topic of team leadership and were important as well. The short survey exhaustively covered the topic of team leadership skills, and I learn from the survey that team leadership skills are important to attain.

Team leadership skills are important and inevitable in every business organization. Leadership is a key component of all business organizations, though its function and capacity is getting more complicated, especially with the revolution brought about by globalization and technology. Leadership skills come in handy especially in diverse workplaces and one may need to modify their leadership skills to suit various places of work. Some of the essential team leadership skills include appreciating individual differences, development of self-awareness, understanding cultural stereotypes, creating a vision, and being able to sell it, among others.

I scored highly on each individual question in the survey. In addition, I attained a high overall score in the short survey on team leadership skills. My areas of strength as evidenced from my score on the short survey on team leadership include my ability to exercise team leadership as evidenced by the high score I attained from the short survey. My opportunities for growth include my opportunity to utilize team leadership skills in the global work environment.
