Instructions: In Units I and II, you created a top 15 list of safety training required for Carter’s Material Handling Equipment Manufacturing Company. In this assignment, we will focus on one department in Carter’s organization, and we will work toward selecting one training topic that will be used for the Unit V and Unit VII Assignments. This assignment involves completing two exercises (Exercises 1 & 2). First, select one of the four departments described in Carter’s organization. Be sure that the department you select has more than two training needs identified on the table you created in the Unit II Assignment. Then, use that information to complete Exercises 1 and 2, which are on the next couple of pages. This assignment provides you with an opportunity to demonstrate the following course learning outcome:

First, review the case about Carter’s Material Handling Equipment Manufacturing Company (see Unit I Assignment). Then, follow the instructions below, save all of your work to this document, and submit it in Blackboard for grading.

Exercise 1. This exercise involves conducting a training assessment (or a needs assessment). The purpose of this assessment is to precisely identify three areas: the content, the target audience, and the environment. This is very important, as you want to ensure that you are providing training to support the existing needs. Remember, you have already completed some of this work in Unit II, so use that information to get started. Complete the first table by analyzing the needed content.
