Introduction Everyone is searching for the perfect fit and fun atmosphere while earning a living. Staff in management positions can make or break an experience for employees within the organization. Great leaders have established leadership styles, relatable competency qualities in return creating a fun and positive work environment.

ResiliencePersistent, finding solutions to achieve success within the organizationTransformational Leadership pushes employees to establish a resilient mindset to meet goals and eager to succeed (Yun et at., 2007)Open minded willing to adapt even in the midst of adversity, energy reflects in the team’s effort to accomplish the organizations goals

Team buildingUplifting staff, building up trust and inspiring the team to stay motivated while accomplishing tasksServant Leadership promotes putting the team first, listening, awareness and empathizing (Spears, 2010)Long term success requires problem solving, putting pride aside increases team morale and raises productivity within the organization

AccountabilityLeading by example starts with respect for self and will be reciprocated from employees. If you as the leader hold self-accountable, the team will follow. Relationships in the organization built on trust make accepting constructive criticism a smoother transition. Transformational Leadership focuses on getting the best out of their employees, holding them accountable in the midst of meeting the organizations goals.(Yun et at., 2007)

In closing a true leader will embrace differences within the team, mastering the balance between verbally and physically leading. Creating a fun and positive organization all while staying successful is a challenge but will be attained if leaders are willing to mix in some of the same styles and competencies Mr. Pausch uses. “As you get older, you may find that enabling the dreams of others is even more fun” (Robins, 2011).
