Historical times to present

Over the decades, inpatient and outpatient services have changed over the time in providing services to readmission.Building new facilities for patients depending on diagnoses and for care they are providing before it was used to couple of hospitals and was providing care to everyone with less rooms and less beneficiary services.Hospitals will focus more on reducing readmission and having to get the care from outpatient services. Before they used to admit patients on sickness which could also be treated by regular physicians. Now, hospitals will focus on diseases and prevention.Hospitals will be able to provide more care with better prevention with care. reimbursement

Payers prefer outpatient care since it cost lessHospitals created outpatient services to decrease the inpatient incomeReimbursement increased demand for outpatient services to patients as they were discharged quicker and sickerTechnology new diagnostic and treatment procedures with less invasive surgical methods with less anesthetics.

Financial challenges

Depending on type of services patients are receiving type of illness or injury it can influence on the cost of hospital stay. In my personal opinion, some injuries and diseases cost more than average of what you pay in the hospital. Some diseases and injuries simply cost loss of average than others. For example, someone with a broken back will have a less bill than someone who have open heart surgery or other treatment. Surgeries are very expensive since the patient is billed from multiple specialists and for any drugs using anesethia. There are many benefits to using outpatient rehab services for both the client and the medical facilities. For clients, outpatient services are typically more convenient, as clients can still work and care for their families if they are able to do so.Substance abuse outpatient treatment is designed for people who suffer from drug or alcohol abuse but do not require hospitalization for recovery. Outpatient services help addicts recover from alcoholism, abuse of narcotics, prescription drug abuse and other legal or illegal substances.
