The two terms (mobile and wireless) are not synonymous. You could do computing on the move with a wired connection to the network wherever you go. Wireless networking is, and will continue to be, an important ingredient of mobile computing because it offers users greater flexibility of movement. Give your opinion on whether or not mobile and wireless devices have contributed to the rise in social media activity.

 In this day and age, everyone can retrieve their personal and/or work email on their mobile device.  Over five billion people now with Facebook profiles and over 175 million users on LinkedIn, networking has taken on a whole new meaning, giving us the ability to reach the world with one click of a button.

Next, determine at least two (2) ways that business organizations use mobile technologies to become more efficient, productive, and profitable. Support your response.

 Now we can communicate with one click of a button to move information through email, and the Internet. Innovations in technology have improved operations for companies and help small businesses global. Email marketing is an effective and low cost method to reach a large group of people with a newsletter, coupons or business updates. Mobile marketing is a relatively new frontier that reaches people through text messaging, advertising on mobile applications and offering branded applications that tie customers into what is happening with the business.
