Summary – Source Selection

Kovan, N., Phillips, & Gunnar, M.R. (2007). Toddlers’ and Preschoolers’ Experience in Family Day Care: Early Childhood Research Quarterly, 22(4), 451-467. Retrieved from:http//doi.org/10.1016/j.ecresq. on February 21, 2018.

Vandenbroeck, M. (2011). Diversity in Early Childhood Services. Retrieved from: http://www.child-encyclopedia.com/childhood-education-according-services on February 19, 2018.

I have chosen these two resources listed above due to the plethora amount of information that I can gain and use for my research paper. I believe that these sources will be useful in developing helpful strategies that will be successful due to the challenge and struggle that the age of diversity daycare programs have.

Summary – Learning

Since I am a recent graduate of Ashford University for my Bachelors in Early Childhood Administration and now Masters of Education, Specializing in Families and Community Services, I have done an extensive amount of research papers and discussions. The process has always been consistent; find the perfect group of words that manifest good results that you are searching for. I have always been more successful with finding what I am looking for online verses the Ashford Library.

I must admit that I have found out that with further investigation, your first resource may not always be the most helpful. I now would look for at least three sources in an effort to choose the best. Taking time to actually read through these sources makes a world of a difference in determining if the resource will be helpful.

Summary – Adaptations

Finding the correct words plays a role in the initial process. In having to write so many papers, I found this to be one of the greatest challenges. You have so many thoughts and ideas running through your mind; this can take many attempts and word combinations to locate enough information to support your research project. Because of this I have found the most helpful thing to do is mixing word combinations for better outcomes.

Another way that I personally changed my search process was to not choose the initial result. By doing this I found that further investigation gave me a deeper and clearer view and thought process.

Summary – Application

I will need to try different search combinations to locate resources for my specific project. I will also need to further investigate findings of searches to ensure that these findings meet my needs. I can also utilize the Ashford Library and try different word combinations and reviewing these findings can provide a better experience from the library. I have no problem trying these adaptations out and will remain positive in knowing that they will produce improved results.
