  • Self-Assessment Results

According to the results I have a high visual-spatial (75%) meaning that I am very aware of my environments and can through drawings, verbal and physical imagery (Darling-Hammond, 2010). By having a linguistic of 58% I belong to the group of learners who with just above average auditory skills and often think in words. The logical-mathematical of 88% means that I do a lot of reasoning and calculations. Learners in the category as I am thinks abstractly, conceptually and can see and explore relationships and patterns (Darling-Hammond, 2010). At 88% intrapersonal the picture is that I have a high understanding my own interests, goals. This means that I have motivation, intuition and, wisdom as well as confidence, opinions and a strong will. This is in contrast to my interpersonal that seems to be just above average at 69%. People with high interpersonal skills learn through interaction (Tomlinson, 2014). I have low musical interest showing insensitivity to rhyme and sound with average bodily-kinesthetic of 50%.

After induction training, to the people with similar learning style as me, job instruction training is most effective. Job instruction training provides a job overview and experienced trainers demonstrate to the employees, the entire job Darling-Hammond, 2010). After evaluating employee performance, addition training is necessary. Also, to these people, team training is important. Since we are depicted as individualistic people, with a mixture of solitary and visual learning styles, team training can be very important (Darling-Hammond, 2010). Team training empowers individuals to improve communication, problem solving, decision making, and team-development skills so as to attain business results. It motivates employees and makes the work place enjoyable (Tomlinson, 2014).

  • What type of training most appeals to people with a similar learning style to you?

For the people in the learning style as me there are various applicable methods of instructions (Darling-Hammond, 2010). Pictures, images, graphs and spatial understanding methods are effective instructional methods. Since we prefer reasoning and using logic, and systems the logical instructional methods are also applicable. Logical-mathematical intelligence describes this learning style’s ability to cultivate equations and proofs, create calculations, and solve conceptual and abstract problems (Darling-Hammond, 2010). Because of high Intrapersonal and interpersonal intelligence, instructional methods that let them recognize and assess situations within themselves and within others are also important for this category of people (Tomlinson, 2014).

  • What methods of instruction work best with your learning style group?

To this group musical and sound instructional methods are a challenge (Tomlinson, 2014). Musical intelligence enables persons to make and produce meaning of different musicals and types of sound. The people in my learning group have musical abilities. Also, another challenge is Bodily-Kinesthetic instructional methods. Bodily-kinesthetic learning systems involve using one’s own body to solve problems or create products. The individuals in my category are shy of using their body e.g. through dancing (Darling-Hammond, 2010).
