q1-The reproductive system has been described as an “unnecessary” body system because it is not needed for the individual to survive. Upon maturation, however, the reproductive system does produce hormones that maintain adult features as well as bone structure. These hormones also influence behavior, blood composition, and metabolism. Discuss your thoughts as to whether or not the reproductive system is unnecessary.

The reproductive system is necessary. First, is important as it ensures the continuation of human species. Secondly, it produces hormones which influence development of body structures such as the bone. If the reproductive system is removed from the body, it will mean that the human species will be at risk of extension. It will also derive humans the pleasure usually felt when engaging in sexual intercourse (Jones & Lopez, 2013).
