Dear Joe:

On behalf of Sheridan Apartments, I am pleased to offer you the positon of Maintenance Technician/Janitor beginning on July 10, 2017, at 8:00 am.

Your compensation, on an hourly basis will be $15.38 an hour which equates to an annualized base salary of $32,000. Your work hours will be Monday – Friday from 8:00 to 5:00 daily with an hour lunch break, and additional hours as required during on-call assignments. All work performed outside standard working hours will paid at the overtime rate as position is considered a non-exempt position.

In addition, you will be eligible to participate in the company’s health and welfare benefits upon completion of your 90 probationary period. Benefits include employee medical and dental benefits and are subject to distinct waiting period and co-pay agreements and are described in our benefits material, which will be provided to your orientation and training.

Benefits of paid time off, excluding where legally mandated, will include 9 days of vacation in year one of employment and will increase in scale to the length of your employment as detailed in the employee handbook. Sick leave benefits will accrue over time and will begin with 5 days of paid sick leave and will contain annual increases as detailed within the employee handbook.

Acceptance of this offer is contingent upon the completion of a pre-employment criminal background check, drug testing, and providing documents that support your authorization to work in the United States as outlined in the I-9 form. Failure to consent to any of the above clearances or tests constitutes immediate retraction of this offer, however negative results, if declared in advance will have no impact on this offer.

Your employment with Sheridan Apartments is at will, and either you or Sheridan Apartments may terminate employment at any time, for any reason, with or without cause or notice.

When reporting on July 10, please bring the following items for your employee file. A state of federal issued photo identification, proof of dependency for your spouse, children, parents, and others as applicable, and proof of your right to work, and proof of your current address. Also please bring in copies of transcripts for all formal training listed on your resume.

Acceptance of this offer by showing up to work on July 10, or by signing below, certifies that you accept all conditions outlined in this offer of employment.
