Generalized Anxiety

Generalized anxiety is a condition that is similar to OCD (obsession compulsive disorder), panic attacks, and other kinds of anxiety disorders.

Panic Disorder

Panic disorders are caused by severe stress from something that has occurred in an individuals life. Personal issues and events that have happened that has affected someones life that can bring on some sort of stress. For example, job loss, death in the family, arguments between loved ones, etc. Panic disorder strikes suddenly and disappears as fast it comes. Panic disorder is an episode that causes heart palpitations, shortness of breath, trembling, dizziness, and a choking sensation.

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder comes from past memories that brought on some sort of trauma. It is triggered when something brings back a traumatic memory that brings on an intense emotional and physical reactions.

Dissociative Identity Disorder

Dissociative identity disorder is also called multiple personality disorder. It is a disorder that comes from some reaction to a trauma that a person has had. It is a severe condition that has two or more identities that alternately takes control of an individual. The individual will also experience some memory loss.

Treatments

Treatments for these orders vary from medication, cognitive therapy, corrective behavioral therapy, short term and long term psychotherapy.

Roads to Recovery

With all the anxiety disorders that have been listed and presented it takes a medical doctor to diagnose the disorder and then to prescribe a treatment plan. Whether this treatment plan be by medicine or by different types of therapy.
