Public Stewardship in Budgeting

In order for a state to reach a condition of stewardship, it should first restore the national ensuring that there is civilian control on security matters. Stewardship requires the government to effective serve and protect the public resources. There should be effective oversight not only from the government but also from the society in order to keep good state of the stewardship of the state. Public stewardship is very important in budgeting as it helps to prevent conflict among the citizens whereby they may fight for the public resources. It is also importance to have effective public stewardship as in acts as encouragement on legitimacy providing essential services to all people (Barret, 2008, August). To protect goods and services which externally enter the country requires for proper and effective stewardship.

Public leaders have a responsibility to take care of long term and short term interests because we should inform our leaders all what we need but not what they need. Public leaders have the responsibility to represent and act as the other peoples face and listen to them. Proper stewardship should open ways for meeting our future outcomes which should cover our backside leading to success every day (Holdsworth et al. 2006). Effective stewardship should be portrayed at all sectors where budgeting takes place. Public leaders should take the responsibility of providing advice for other workers in order to build a state which has effective developments. Stewardship in budgeting should offer frank and honest response to the workers which will in turn avoid conflicts among the public workers.

The leaders should generate their efforts towards lifting the standards of the state but not making their own benefit. In order to meet high standards of the state, the goals and objectives should act as a director in order to achieve high levels. The performance within the state should be maximized in order to reach high standards of the state. The public leaders ask themselves questions before spending the government finance. They should have a plan in order to achieve what they want to do. Stewardship is very importance as it can create change where the objectives are not achieved. Public leaders take great responsibility in advising the ministers and other people on the choices they have made in order to make proper implementation. The decisions made by the leaders should be productive for the state to meet effective outcomes (Barret, 2008, August).

Public leaders should be trustworthy in order to lead other people in the state. Stewardships should be directed by altitude whereby the leaders should be influential on their decisions to make every one believe and trust them. Stewardship in other words should be mindset whereby the leaders should have positive consequences in order to meet high standards of the nation. For proper public stewardship, there should be accountability and the leaders should take proper control of all the activities taking place. Leaders should take the responsibility whereby they should not only look on what they have accomplished but also the future outcomes of the state. There are various consequences which may result from unethical or poor stewardship which may include punishment or judgment. The state may also lead to conflicts which in severe causes may lead to death (Holdsworth et al. 2006).

The leaders are the only people who fail to coordinate well until things go wrong in the government. Tax payers who are the common mass should receive goods and products of high quality whereby the leaders should supervise them. Public leaders should oversight the taxpayer’s money in order to keep procurement processes in order. For instance, pension envy has passed some effective lessons to the mass that the plans are really underfunded but not from the entire public pension. Every public leader should be responsible as also witness from publication leaders whereby they are very keen on what they publicize to the mass. In case of unethical stewardship the government may face serious problems whereby the public leaders are private taking the advantage of public finance (Barret, 2008, August).

Most governments have faced corruption from the leaders whereby they want to benefit but do not consider the citizens and do not care about the outcomes. Lack of transparency in public sectors is becoming a main issue to many public areas. This may lead to health, economical and also poor image to the people. It may also reduce trust to the people you lead and the citizen may decide to demonstrate due to lack of transparency on public finance. The leaders must construct quality professional conduct to servant which will build trust to them and will bare effective outcomes. They should have ethical principles and portray good values from their specialization so that citizens can trust them with their affairs (Holdsworth et al. 2006).

In conclusion, public stewardship is very important as the government should offer good management and protection of the public resources. In order for proper stewardship, guidance should be done to our leaders so that they may understand what should be done. They should have good approach and knowledge of proper stewardship to avoid some of unethical behaviors.
