    A disaster recovery plan is a stepwise outline that effectively describes the steps that need to be followed in the event of a disaster. These can be in the form of fire, flood, power outage, war, theft and pandemics.

    The primary priority in the event of any disaster in my company is the prevention of the loss of life. The next priority will then be the prevention of loss of the resources of the organization such as the hardware, machinery, data and all assets and to keep the company running even in the course of the disaster.     The disaster recovery process prevented as a flow diagram;

    The disaster command and control center or standby facility will be used after the disaster recovery lead has declared that a disaster has occurred. This is a separate location to the primary facility. The standby facility is to be used by the IT department and disaster recovery teams to function as a central location where all decisions during the disaster will be made. Business continuity will be achieved by the team in charge of repair and rebuilding of the primary facility. The task required to achieve the continuity will be variable depending on the severity of the damage. Specific tasks will be determined and assigned after damage to the primary facilities have been assessed.
