Reading the e-Activity has truly sadden me, the early perception of children and adolescents was a very impersonal way of thinking. Under the Blackstone’s Commentaries on Laws state that a child under the age of seven didn’t understand what they were doing. A child under the age of fourteen if found guilty of a crime of burglary, kidnapping or murder, would be liable to suffer as adults. In the American legal system today some of the laws of Blackstone’s Commentaries are carried out in our court systems today. If a child under the age of eighteen is found guilty of murder they are treated as if they are adults. My take on that is let the punishment fit the crime. We have allot of children in today society being charged as adults because of their juvenile records.

When it comes to measuring self-reports I, I found it quite challenging  to get a accurate data. Because of the data not being accurate how can we really know the percentage. The example I would have is when you got to the doctor and they ask you do you feel safe in your house, and just to keep down confusion you would state yes so there would be not more question ask. In neighborhood  that I grew up in there was drive by shooting how could I answer that question correctly, no one in my household was hurting me be the gunshots were coming into people home and kill and wounding innocence people.
