Tradition and Innovation

A traditional classroom is a learning space where the students are used to having a face to face interaction with the teacher (Becker, 2015). Blending traditional and Innovation can be very hard on the student thus there are considerations that need to be achieved. One of the considerations is having the teacher be willing and ready to incorporate Innovation in his or her class. Another consideration involves working with an Innovation that the students have interests in as well as that which is applicable in real life. The third consideration will be based on the impact innovation will have on the students’ education and skills (Peterson & Warwick, 2014).

An American classroom is usually considered as a global classroom because it is comprised of students from different cultures and continents as well. As shared by (Peterson & Warwick, 2014), Global education is referred as innovative because it enables people to get to know and understand other people’s cultures globally. When it comes to blending traditional with global education, I would first make sure that each student is able to acknowledge and appreciate the different cultures in the classroom. By achieving this, the students will have the desire to learn more.

According to (Becker, 2015), it is very important to make students become comfortable with each other despite the diversity in cultures. This gradually introduces programs that give students the zeal to focus more on content and the application process of the program. An example is having students work in groups or introduce the use of technology in the learning system. Group works are essential and incorporating it will fasten the blend between traditional and global education.

Blending traditional and global education will make me create extracurricular activities or clubs that would make blending easier. I would also set tasks and expect the students to have submitted their results by the end of the blend. Blending traditional and global education would be a good initiative for the student since they will be able to acquire global competencies.
