The company that I have chosen throughout this course was Apple.inc. Apple is one of the top major technology companies in todays world. They produce many products from mobile phones to music players they even produce educational products for schools and etc. Apples external environment is global they have offices, warehouses, and schools all around the world. Apples current strategies are to:
Apples objective is innovating and become the face of the earth in technology.
- Produce a variety of many products
- Raise their profits higher
- Be better then their competition.
If the company continues with its present strategies and objectives, where will it be in five years?
In about five years’ apple should be still the number one major mobile technology provider out here. I believe that because even with there failures they still come out on top.
If you were the CEO of the company, what strategies would you recommend, and why?
If I was the CEO of Apple I would recommend producing lower cost products such as in a material point so that they were more affordable to the average person could afford it. The products now are really good quality and last long but sometimes when most people see the prices they tend to stay away and go to cheaper brands such as Samsung and etc.
Describe the competitive strategies used by the company’s main competitors. Which of these strategies are the most effective? How can your company combat these strategies? Support your answers.
Some competitive strategies that are used by other companies are for example commercials. Samsung would have a commercial with a apple product in it side by side and state all the features that its phone has that apple isn’t capable of doing. Posters or ads is another tactic that most companies try to compete with. Another tactic is offering discounts on there products if you turn in a competitor’s device. Apple can compete with these strategies or tactics by doing the same thing that the other companies are doing or they can keep producing their products and let the competition keep copying them or trying to shame them but at the end of the day they still come out on top.
