Throughout the project the project manager should be aware if the project is going over budget. The project manager should complete frequent audits to ensure that resources are being allocated properly. In addition, the project manager should be seeking ways to get things completed at a lower cost. In addition, the project manager could prepare a presentation to request more funds from the owner to ensure that everything is completed successfully.

Effective communication ensures a smooth transition and allows the other team members to be more receptive to the change.
