Business-Level Strategy

From the first e-Activity, assess your satisfaction with the company you researched and make recommendations about how that company could modify its business-level strategy to both increase your overall level of satisfaction and to attract new customers. Provide specific examples to support your response.

I chose Regency Natural Gas Industry LP for my company to research. Regency will continue to grow and develop as a major player in the natural gas industry. Regency will look to continue to expand on a global scale. In Allan Cohen’s article, Building a Company of Leaders he discusses great leadership which discusses the need of every level of the organization to take the initiative to lead (Cohen, 2004). Regency will have excellence at every level to continue to be the leader and innovator of the natural gas industry.

Analyze the five business-level strategies discussed in Chapter 4 to determine which strategy the company you researched most likely applies. Determine how your experience with that company might change if it switched to one of the other four strategies (your choice). Explain your rationale.

Of the five business-level strategies discussed I believe that Regency uses competitive advantage within their company in order to keep their customers happy as well as keeping up with the competition. I think that this is a great option for them to use because they will be able to make changes when needed.
