Every city needs energy for each of its days to day activities. Different energy sources are dependent upon in cities, and this include: Geothermal power, Wind power, Hydroelectric, Solar power, Natural Gas and Coal fired power. All these sources have varied advantage and disadvantages to being considered. Since the city is exposed to sun, Solar powered energy, Geothermal and Hydroelectric Energy need to be implemented. The reason for selection of the two is because of their available and its cost too.

Category 1-energy from solar power-20%

Category 2-energy from geothermal-30%

Category 3-Other sources-10 %

Category 4.Hydroelecricity-40%

Initial Cost of Setup Energy Production Monthly Cost Energy Output Limit
$350000 $ 100000 1000MW
$350000 $100000 1000MW
  Solar powered $3000000 $50000 1000MW

The city needs these resources because of the demands that any growing city will require.Hydro electricity is essential in the city because it is a long term form of energy whose form cam be tapped quickly,. The energy budget allocated for the electricity is 30 % of the total budget required. This budget will gather for the production of initial 1000 megawatts required by the city at the moment. The city still needs hydroelectricity because the expenses required to maintain it are less which means it easy to control it form more than one year and be able to a do another projection.

The city needs geothermal power because of its ability to save cost for the company. Of the total budget, geothermal power will require USD350 million dollars to maintain for now and for future use according to this budget will be used to support a 1000megawatts yearly to supplement the energy already produced by the hydroelectricity. The city requires geothermal power because it will reduce the over reliance on fossil fuels which may be tricky to harvest it. Lastly, the city needs geothermal power because of its direct use in offices and homes.

The third energy resource required by the town is solar power energy. As much as the city uses non-renewable sources of energy, renewable sources are also an important aspect of power for the city. The city needs this energy resource because of he readily available solar. This means that the cost of maintenance is low. The budget estimate to produce 1000 megawatts for the city for longer estimated time. Because of the city’s need to maintain a clean environment, it requires the solar because of its low ability to pollute,.

Advantages of the energy resources

Renewable energy resources are classified as power acquired form sun, wind and geothermal energy. These sources f energy are always replenished. Advantages associated with renewable sources of energy include; First, renewable sources are always renewable,. This means that this form of energy is can always be used without getting used up or running out. Secondly, renewable energy has no effect on the environment. Renewable energy produces very minimal omission of greenhouse carbon that reacts with air to produce Co2 that has an impact on the environment. It, therefore, reduces air pollution in the form of toxic gases produced. Lastly, renewable sources of energy can be used reliably since sun and wind distribution is uniform all over.

The disadvantages of renewable sources of energy include the following. It is not that reliable at all times because the majority of them depends on the weather for sustainability e.g. sun, wind, sunshine. These factors are not always available because of change in patterns,. Secondly, the energy is not generable in large quantities. This means the method has to be supplemented with another method to reduce consumption. Thirdly, it requires large tracts of land needed to stand in the solar systems. Lastly, the renewable sources of energy have gigantic initial cost since it needs to be generated using expertise techniques that cannot be acquired quickly they demand much finances. The cost of materials is very high too.

As the population grows, the need for electricity increases too. Explains the reason for this as increased population raises the amount of energy consumed. The consumption increases as a result of the food people eat, fresh water and also as a form of wood. Population growth will also increase the cost of producing energy since the higher the consumption, the higher the cost of production. This is a challenge for the countries have too work on their budget well to ensure that they have enough don’t run short of it. Increasing growth will also have an impact on the energy use that directly affects the environment. The higher numbers of the population mean people are using the energy materials that affect the environment through carbon production.

As the population grows, the city should first of all work on their budget. The net allocation from the government should be increased to allow for plans for the city. The city should seek alternative means of electricity. The alternative means of energy will be able to provide power in case the other forms fail to provide enough. The city should also avoid wastes in the form of form energy as we seek for explorations to find a lasting means of energy production.
