Innovation

Innovation refers to the identification of new ideas or methods with an aim of bringing out a better solution that meet new requirements or demands and that will earn more profits and value to the organization. Innovation can also be defined as identifying a business opportunity that will be of benefit to the organization. Most businesses in today’s world are defined by what the organization does and how well it does it. This therefore calls for effectiveness and utilization of every opportunity that comes along in the event of making the organization successful and the best in providing services or products to their clients (Kondalkar, 2013). One of the internal processes in an organization is the structural nature of the organization. This includes the chains of commands in the organization. However not all organizations put into consideration this process and as a result problems start arising in the organization. This paper will look at one of the examples of the problem that may arise from poor structure of an organization which is the conflict and lack of coordination (Charles, 2009)

Conflict refers to a serious misunderstanding or disagreement between two people or more. It is also called a dispute. Lack of coordination can also be termed as lack of corporation among parties to ensure the smooth running of the organization. This is whereby the efforts are not put together in the correct manner and order. The importance of this study is to identify one of the effects of structural nature of an organization that is conflict and lack of coordination within an organization and provide a suitable solution for the problem identified above through innovation. The paper is going to discuss in detail how a proper structural organization works smoothly and effective to achieve its goals and objectives using the desired methods. It also provides a detailed way of how to curb the problem of conflict among employees and lack of coordination in the organization. The problem has a great impact on the organization, the employees, employers and the clients at large through the end result of the organization (Ron Sanchez, 2010)

Structure is the pattern of relationships among positions in the organization and among members of the organization. Management structure involves a number of procedures and processes that enables an effective running of the organization. A good structure of organization should be organized for business performance, have a minimal number of management level and lastly it should facilitate training and testing of future organization leaders and (Charles, 2009). A good structural nature of the organization provide a proper division of labor among the members of the employees and coordination of the activities so that the goals and objectives of the organization are achieved in the desired manner. A proper organization structure provides a good relationship among the employees and a proper channel of communication. This will have a great impact on the employees and the employers through coordination of activities and unity among the workers.

The innovation will provide a competitive advantage to the organization which will be attained through coordination of activities and peace and unity of the workers. Through proper channel of communication and division of labor will conflicts will be eliminated. Conflicts that arise among the employees will not be there anymore. Through proper channel of communication, information will be passed to the right people and hence there will be coordination of activities through following the right procedures. Division of labor will also help avoid conflict among the employees. Employees will no longer fight due to some of them exploiting others by buying time to avoid their work and leaving the rest of the work to the active ones. Division of work will give every employee a portion of work which they are entitled to do in the organization. In this case, there will be no more conflicts and there will be coordination of activities in the organization and hence a proper end result for the organization. The products and services provided by the organization will be of high quality and standards since there is efficiency and effectiveness in the production and hence a high demand by the clients.

For the above mentioned innovation to take place, there must be an implementation plan that guides the achievement of the stated innovation. The first step will be to state down the objectives of the plan which in our case is having a good organizational structure. Second is to train and educate the employees of what is expected of them according to the intended innovation that is about to be implemented. This will prepare the employees for the change that is about to take place and hence they will be able to act in accordance to what is implemented. The third step will be to create rules that govern the implementation that is about to be made and also the consequences of breaking the rules. This will ensure that the plan does not back out and that everything that is planned works out. Lastly, is to implement the plan that is effecting the plan in the organization and this is the duty of the management in the organization.

Evaluating the performance in the organization and participants that is the employees, employers and the clients would be the appropriate methods to measure the impact of the innovation on the organization. This is because every idea or method implemented in an organization should reveal its significance through the performance that is how well or right they do things in the organization. For instance, through the change in the structure of the organization, the performance should improve. Also through the clients, the organization is able to know whether through the new ideas the needs, expectations and demands of their clients hence measuring the impact of the innovation in an organization. Also the behavioral nature of the employees also changes in that now there will be a common understanding among the employees.

Finally, since the innovation that has been adopted has been so effective in the organization and has placed the organization in a better place than it was. The rules set for the new ideas should be observed to the latter and anyone that breaks the rules should be punished to ensure that the new idea takes root in the organization and it becomes part of the culture of the organization as pointed out more by (Aquinas,2009). Moreover, it would be good to look into another problem that can be rectified. Therefore, I recommend the expansion of the organization and try and venture into new markets that have a high demand in the organization.
