“Mission Possible”

Describe how an organization’s mission statement and values are supported by specific aspects in the marketing, operations, technology, management, and social responsibility sections of a business plan.

The mission statement and values of a company or organization are things that they stand for and represent. The mission statement is the reasoning behind the company and the values are a set of traits which ‘births’ the business. These represent and are what drives the company to succeed. Marketing supports the company’s mission statement and values by aligning advertisements to them. The company wants to attract customers by capturing their attention so they might feel the same passion for the company. Utilizing the values of the company for day-to-day operations will be the driving force of what the company stands for. Through the company’s technology plan, the mission statement and incorporated values of the business will remain true. My NAB is a “green business” as noted in our values, I will uphold this value by utilizing energy efficient technologies. The management section can prove how diverse of a team has been created. It shows how innovative the team of management professionals are. The social responsibility section should be quite transparent by allowing many to see the relationships throughout the community. My NAB aims to contribute to a healthier lifestyle by providing healthy drink alternatives. The social responsibility section states how and where we get our natural resources.

In a real life situation, feedback from your business plan development team can be extremely valuable. Explain the value of receiving feedback from your ‘team’ (your instructor and fellow students) on the various sections of your non-alcoholic beverage (NAB) business plan while you work towards making necessary revisions.

Having more than one person to read and provide constructive feedback is very beneficial in any situation. When it comes to this class, Dr. McMillan and my peers have helped to steer me in the right direction whilst developing my NAB business plan. I am grateful for this information I have received throughout the past 7 weeks and the guidance I have received. This has allowed me to put the different aspects of my business plan into perspective and also gain a combined expertise from my peers since everyone’s knowledge or life experiences are different. This combined expertise will help to maximize the success of my business plan.
