Re: Compliance Efforts Lead to Advance Developments
Date:
Legal and ethical compliance is of great significance to any organization for enhancing the efficient delivery of their services. An organization should, therefore, be considered for routine evaluation in regard to its setting and how operations are carried out by the various departments. Strategies should be developed that will assist in improving the existing actions regarding the environment, community, and safety. Thereafter, conduct reviews and re-evaluate laws applicable to American Red Cross and the pact on regulations. Deliver effective and efficient management to cater to the needs of employees as well as patients. In addition, focus on increasing annual revenue for financial development. American Red Cross was established in the year 1881 on May 21st. The organization has committed itself towards serving people in various capacities mainly preserving human life and advocating for quality health care. American Red Cross has even gone further to be flexible in its operations and thus modified their services in order to meet the ever-changing needs of persons in aid. Hence, achieving their mission and being true to their values.
The organization advocates for essential values such as volunteering in charitable activities, unity, independence, impartially and universality. The role of American Red Cross in health care is to offer emergency services, respond to people affected with natural calamities such as floods and educate people on various platforms about measures to curb avoidable disasters and ways of handling such if they occur. The American Red Cross comprises of ordinary people who have the desire to go out of their way to do extraordinary things. These people come from different backgrounds with different cultures but their diversity doesn’t affect their relationships when serving the interest of those in aid. The organizational culture of the American Red Cross is to embrace diversity and values from one another thus enhancing unity among employees and holding the organization in place. This kind of culture has made it possible for the organization to travel wide and beyond reaching out to people in distress without difficulty. Employees support one another, pray together, and give hope to victims of a disaster. The organization as well gives approval to emergencies that people need to be assisted such as food, housing, healthcare, and clothing. Volunteers joining the organization have to learn the culture and values of the organization in order to fit in well.
American Red Cross reduces distress and further damage when encountered by emergencies by calling upon volunteers to help and seeking further help from generous donors. It is not a profit-oriented organization and therefore devotes all of its energy to helping those in need. Their primary values are founded on the 5 Cs, Credible, Committed, Compassionate, Collaborative, and Creative (Bromley & Meyer, 2017). The organization allows all kinds of people willing to join them to do so despite their religion, ethnicity, age, and gender. Such kind of principle has enabled them to gain the highest ethical work relations from their employees and volunteers across the country. The best recommendation I would suggest so as to improve service delivery is to encourage and involve the younger generation in humanitarian activities.
The corporate assets of the American Red Cross comprise of cash, vouchers, postage, bills, reimbursement claims and charge cards. These assets are used for business purposes when a need arises, for example, acquiring new equipment for administering first aid services. Red Cross has approved that these assets are appropriate and accurate and when using them, they follow the right rules, laws, and regulations. Adhering to the laws is of great importance so as to carry out operations in a cohesive environment. Furthermore, the Red Cross is committed to protecting the environment and the general welfare of people across the country. To accomplish this, they have developed eco-friendly regulations that preserve and protect the environment against any destruction. In order to enhance this, the organization requires innovation such as providing a compartment to its employees will go a long way to raising their spirits. Implementing such kind of innovations will make employees feel happy, appreciated and they will be loyal.
American Red Cross has put in place rules related to ethics which needs to be adhered to by all employees and parties which engage with them. The rules on ethics and policies must be adhered by every contractor, sub-contractor, and employees. Consequently, failure in compliance might result in loss of employment and termination of contracts. Additionally, failure in compliance could lead to writing ups, termination, and citation. It is therefore important to adhere to the ethical and legal issues in a timely manner. In adhering to the set regulations and laws organizations will reduce employee legal actions. According to Eva, Prajogo, & Cooper, (2017), an organization that consistently undertakes suitable disciplinary actions on its employees will greatly improve the employees’ compliance to the ethics and values of the company. In addition, rewarding compliance workforce motivates other employees to follow suit. Similarly, employees should always feel safe and listened to promote stronger administration relationship as well as effective communication. Among the ethical considerations enforced include the barring of employees with companies or interests in a company which conducts business with the American Red Cross organization.
Supporting an ethical compliance framework will further aid the organization image and public trust. The approaches implemented by the American organization could significantly grow organizational settings functions. The organizational culture displayed by the American Red cross embraces values and diversity from various stakeholders in order to enhance cohesion between its work as well as putting the organization in check. This form of culture has facilitated the robust growth of the organization and its global reach. Organizations must advocate for essential values such as volunteering in charitable activities, unity, independence, impartially and universality. Motivation is a key aspect of any organization (Di Fabio,2018). By providing incentives and rewards employees continue doing activities that best serve the organizational goals and vision. American Red Cross employees expressed extremely high job commitment levels in several surveys conducted by independent firms as while indicating the existing of a clear communication channel between top managers and junior level employees.
An organization needs to be routinely examined on how it carries out its operation based on the organizational settings.Innovations also play an important part in achieving compliance. For example, by implementing various types of innovations, employees feel happy, appreciated and they will be loyal Approaches that improve organizational actions in relation to safety, community and environment need to formulated and adopted. According to Melby, Loh, & Evert,(2016), development and improved organizational performance are related in a way to the set organizational structure and compliance mechanism that could aid the organizational conduct, creating a responsible company, programming, and planning, and lastly implementing an adopting a policy review and approved processes.
