Healthcare is an essential need and an integral part of the society. It has been a hard task for the healthcare organizations and managers to fully practice social responsibility because some shareholders and stakeholders’ satisfaction and interest is totally different from the goal and objectives of the healthcare systems. The healthcare systems have therefore stood firm by the principles that govern them and have ensured that they practice the ethical principles on a daily basis (Merino, 2011). Social responsibility is mainly concerned with how an organization carries out its internal operation and how the operations affect the social environment.

Respecting the human rights is the greatest social responsibility demonstrated by the healthcare organizations and managers. The healthcare system has generated some non-discrimination policies in order to protect those rights. Such policies include the protection of the society from the toxic waste as well as policies which prevent animal damage from research. These policies also ensure that all the rights of all the stakeholders enrolled in healthcare deliverance are also protected. Health organizations are not just expected to be law abiding. They are expected to do something beneficial to the stakeholders to ensure that their interests and values are satisfied. The marijuana companies can demonstrate their social responsibility by offering healthcare in corporation with the healthcare systems.

They have also demonstrated social responsibility by having restrictive distribution and use of heavy penalties on abuse and unwarranted sale. Healthcare systems operate on the principle that, what is delivered to the beneficiaries of the medical services should be greater than what is received. Restrictions have been set in order to stop and discourage unwarranted sale of drugs. This greatly demonstrates social responsibility because healthcare systems are held accountable and responsible to the public’s health.

Implementation of the code of conduct has also been demonstrated by the managers and healthcare systems. This is to ensure that the medical care unit is responsible and accountable to the general public. Code of conduct is important because it social values such as the welfare of the patients as well as their safety. This code of conduct also defines the patient-nurse relationship in the practice of Medicare. It defines that a nurse or any health practitioner should never reveal the patient’s secrets. Failure to adhere with those set rules, the practitioner is entitled to a punishment. This enables the patient to have faith and trust in the health practitioner. Marijuana corporations should as well abide to the same.

Marijuana corporations in association with healthcare systems have also shown their social responsibility by engaging in both the international, national and local programs that promote solidarity (Trong Tuan, 2012).

Marijuana companies can therefore demonstrate their commitment to their communities by supporting the service and non-profits organizations. They can show their support by participating in the volunteer programs, supporting logistically and financially.

Therefore, the marijuana corporations have to demonstrate their social responsibilities by practicing local hiring, paying wages for their living, making sure that they practice nondiscrimination and providing a healthy living environment which is free from harassment.
