Species Interaction and You

Human beings interact with various kind of species in their life without noticing it. The interactions can either be intraspecific or interspecific interaction. An interaction between a pet and human being is interspecific while interactions between human beings are intraspecific. This is an example of my daily summary of interaction be it interspecific and intraspecific interaction.

A perfect example of a mutualistic interaction is a cattle egret eating insects as the cow graze. The cow will chase the insect away and the egret eats the insect. A competitive interaction example is lions fighting over a female mate for dominance. A predator-prey interaction is a relationship between a cheetah and antelope. Understanding the various level of interaction is crucial in solving environmental problems we face today.
