The purpose of the Business Impact Analysis is to identify the exposures and to precisely quantify the potential destructive impact that the exposures could cause on the very arteries of the organization.

Describe a decision made by a business that reduced their risk exposure to a potentially negative event.

I’m not sure if what I’m fixing to say is relevant to this topic but it’s the only thing that I could think of to discuss with my peers.

When it comes to reducing risk exposure to negativity there is one thing that comes to my mind, and that is removing the Confederate Flag from the State House in Columbia South Carolina. This was done to show everyone that the flag was being misrepresented so many people in the world today. It was also done to decrease the number of deaths due to racist acts and riots. So many people think of the Confederate Flag as being racist however that is not the case. The flag is a symbol of heritage; it is actually a representation of battle for those who fought in the Civil War.

I was raised in the South and I still live in my hometown. I was always told by my family that the Confederate Flag was being displayed to honor those who fought for our civil rights. It never crossed my mind that it was a symbol of racism because I have family members of various ethnic backgrounds. So to me it was never considered as symbolizing that my family was racist.
