CLASSROOM BEHAVIOR MANAGEMENT STRATEGY

Anger and Aggression Behavior Management strategy

INTRODUCTION

The students have been demonstrating anger and aggression towards their fellow students, teachers and the administration.As there are different types of student, it is therefore comparative for their management to be detailed to keep their aggression and anger at manageable level. This strategy aims to provide a solution/ way to curb this and provide a solution to enhance student management by the administration and discipline amongst the students. The strategies are as detailed in the slide by slide

1. HOW TO WORK WITH ANGRY AND AGGRESSIVE STUDENTS

The first step is learning to work with the aggressive students. The students have nowhere else to go, it is that school and their fellow students and the same administration that they will be with. By papering them, it becomes the first step to solving the problems that they have. They issues will have been addressed and hopefully solved thus managed

2.INCREASE STUDENT’S MOTIVATION TO MANAGE ANGER AND AGRESSIVITY

create an environment that minimizes the students from causing chaos and aggression towards the people mentioned. Try and look into the situations that make the students become aggressive -When all these is looked at , it will be possible to solve the problems that the students might be undergoing. Creating a conducive environment also minimizes the chances of the students being aggressive

3.DECREASE THE INSTANCES OF ANGRY RESPONSES TO THESE STUDENTS

Some aggressive students will tend to be a bit docile when they are handled the polite way. Most students tend to react according to the way the administration handles them. They replicate it by being aggressive and angry.This will by some extend reduce the instances of students reasoning as a crowd and start individually since they know all their issues will be handled well responsibly and in good time.

4.DEVELOPING SELF AWARENESS AND SELF MONITORING TO THE STUDENTS

Teach the students how to be responsible and aware of how they are supposed to channel their issues. This will improve their disciple and hence reduce the instances of them being aggressive .By doing this, the students will know how to channel their issues to the right people and thus aggression will be reduced also anger managed effectively

5. REDUCE POWER STRUGGLE WITH ANGRY AND AGGRESSIVE STUDENTS

Everyone should discover the importance of a shared environment. Strategies of addressing the issues without hurting the complainant. These students also need to represented for their issues known.When there is clear hierarchy and a sense of representation, The students issues will be directly addressed and resolved before it develops into anger and aggression

6.HANDLE STUDENTS RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS IN A WAY THAT LEADS TO POSITIVE CHANGE

Teach the students how to responsible and make them accountable for whatever action they are going to do. Make them bear their own responsibility individually. Various techniques will make the student responsible for their actionsMaking the students aware of their responsibility will make them have a that sense and finally do whatever they will do knowing that its them that will account for anything They do.

7.EMPASIZE THE STUDENTS TO ALWAYS BE IN A LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

Making the students to always learn to stay in an academic environment will make them think and concentrate in their academics. This will not give then time to think of other issues that might not be of importance or little importance to them .When students are constantly made to think in such a condition, they will only focus on their academics and leave alone other things. This will not give them time to think and ponder into other things thus fostering student management .

8.LEARN TO MANAGE YOUR BEHAVIOR WHEN THE STUDENT IS OUT OF CONTROL

At times when students are out of control and they are very aggressive, they can be destructive. Learning hoe to manage yourself is thus very important.Competing with the student is the worst thing. Avoiding competition at any level is the best. This will finally lead the student to cooling down to manageable levels.

9.ADOPT STRATEGIES OF HANDLING A STUDENT WHO IS IN ATTACK MODE

Learn the three rules of engagement . This will enable you handle and tame the students at any level of aggression and anger. When people are equipped with the necessary skills of handling the student, they can better be in a position of containing the situation at hand. They can also understand as they have one on one interaction with the aggressive student. This can help you make them accountable and thus fostering management.

10.BE CLOSE TO THE STUDENTS

Some people are very quick to judge without first understanding the situation the student was in to be compelled to do what they did. Being close makes you get what the student really wants and the situation and condition they acted in . This also reduces the chances of the students being aggressive as you might have probably solved their problems by being close and acting on issues on time.

CONCLUSION

In conclusion, aggressive students can be handled and managed effectively by practicing all those. They might have a genuine reason or just indiscipline amongst them. It is possible to manage aggressive and angry students.
