ECE 101 Intro to Early Childhood Behavior Management



In this paper I will be discussing the various behavior problems like screaming, kicking, and biting. Therefore in this process I will tell you the various purposes in behavior management that are needed in early childhood education settings. Thus I will also discuss three strategies teachers may use to determine the functions of challenging behavior. It also includes the design of an individual support plan for each of the challenging behaviors that have been considered to discuss.

Therefore this behavior management is very much important in the stages of early childhood education setting which will develop or maintain various sort of order in the classroom. Thus, the most important reason in order to have behavior management in the early childhood education setting is considered as the safety of the students. Therefore it is necessary for various views like proper character development, academic studying, living with others, personal habits, and physical development of the body (Rogers ,2007).

If we consider a five year old children and all they do is scream, bite, and kick each other for all day. This is not at all a very safe environment for other students in a classroom. Therefore it’s also not very orderly in the classroom. Therefore the things like this are very much important to have behavior management and also rules in the classroom. A functional behavioral assessment looks at problem behaviors by analyzing behaviors and the interventions of these behaviors (Tenenbaum, 1986).

Therefore the strategies to determine functional behavior assessment is

1) Understanding the nature and the causes of problem behaviors and

2) Developing cost effective interventions for changing behavior

3) Reducing the changing behavior

The way of performing a functional behavioral assessment is made using eight steps as

In case of college and Grad school, the Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs is considered as an elementary principle that has been learned. Therefore Maslow stated that if the basic physical and emotional needs are not at all met then children cannot attend to higher functions like learning. Therefore as trained professionals we need to be ignorant about the basic functioning of the human body. Thus the children need to know their right to eat whenever hungry which will make their blood sugar to drop and will put them at risk for fatigue, nausea and also by mood instability.

  • Define the challenging behaviors.
  • Select and describe settings for observation. You should
  • Select the observation type
  • Develop data collection procedures
  • Analyze the learning environment
  • Interview others
  • Hypothesis of the behavior
  • Develop a behavioral intervention plan

Depending on the education background of a children people can define their mindsets. Children with an education background will have a different thinking as a doctor in the world. As education has such a great effect it allows the other people to be more open minded on creative intelligence. In our mind sets and mental models training has an effect. Training can also make a bad influence if the children are not willing to change their training as the world change around them. When a child is not willing to work outside their training area their training will limit the creativity of those children. Influence of others is the most common factor on our mental models and mindsets. People are mostly attracted by their surroundings. One of the limitations of the creative intelligence arises if the children are not willing to extend their surroundings.

When a child is around the people who are close to them they will adapt their own views and ideas of the certain issue. In such a way this will give effect to influences of their own mental model and mindset of their environment. Sometimes these mental models and mindset result into various awards and rewards. These incentives can be reflection from different influences that has shape our mental model or mindset. Children experience is the greatest influence upon our mental models and mindsets. Therefore children experience is one where we can learn how to face certain issues that may arise in the future and how to prevent various mistakes. This experience shapes the mental models and mindsets of all people in the society. Our creative intelligence can be limited by various children experience if our children experience was a negative experience which may cause fear for being more creative.

Creative intelligence is the main factor for identifying and analyzing the various information regarding mental models in order to make intelligent decisions. The way how an individual builds and constructs the plan of action mainly depends on the various stages of intelligence and consciousness of those children that allow the information to be developed and processed in order to make the better decision that increases the ability of those children. The individuals who can learn and adapt to environmental changes can gain more advantage regarding the work done by that children. Intuitive intelligence is the main capacity of the children to gain, understand, and learn different and difficult problematic questions.

Confusion is the other factor that can be solved through problems that can be faced individually by those children in taking important decisions by collecting more irrelevant information. Individuals or are guided by intuitive intelligence which come together and fit into the perfect picture of the views and ideas of organization. Innovative and creative ideas are formed through good and better decision making techniques. The creative intelligence and mental models and mindsets are one of the main views in the world as a whole. Therefore certain issues may easily alter our creative intelligence and mental models and mindsets. However, the way of representing the style of creative intelligence and their effects on the mental models and mindsets will definitely help children’s to make better decisions.

In the olden days most of the behavior management came under the attack of various environmental groups. These people are now trying very hard to understand about the sustainability. They are also need to know about the sustainable performance in behavior management. Likewise they will mainly blame on management. At this time we must focus on the customers support and can gain more attention to our behavior management. But these are the exception cases where only some of the people will be doing like this. They need to know more about this to perform well in their behavior management. Therefore in the next twenty years this issue will become more and children will suffer a lot. The management will spend some of its profit money to people who are demanding for no reason. Therefore this will be a loss for the management as it will go to people who are cheating the management. They will mainly cheat the management by illegal ideas just for money purposes.

The additional skill refers to the behavior management is in this concept. These views about the behavior management must be exclusive. The various factors are the social, environmental and financial problems. This will increase their interaction with the children. Therefore if we listen to their complaints we can mainly gain their attention to our behavior management. As owners we can improve the management by listening to this feedback .This will perhaps improve our management by making more money. In some of the case they will become so serious in their behavior. At this time we must focus on the children support and can gain more attention to our behavior. But these are the exception cases where only some of the people will be doing like this.

This may often happen only when the management is in rising stage. These issues differ from children to children based on their activity against sustainability. Hence the behavior management is very difficult to occur. This social dimension becomes difficult based on the behavior means. We need to see is behavior management in these issues when considering on other hand. However, most of these factors rotate around better management of the natural causes. They can utilize it in an effective manner by shifting to multiple places. Therefore the data that are available will be providing quickly to them. As they are needed quickly they are required to provide the immediate details regarding the business.

Then the purpose of this support plan is to try to get Mathew out of this behavior. Thus my first step is to determine the cause of the behavior. This consists of facts like

After weighing all of these circumstances the conclusion is that Mathew does all these things to get attention. Therefore my first step is to take effort and to try and distract Mathew’s attention on any other things like something else. Thus if Mathew is occupied with something other than his parents moving from him then it won’t seem like such a big deal to him.

  • He’s an only child.
  • He’s used to getting attention from his parents.
  • It’s his first year in school and
  • He screams when his parents leave.

In this paper we have clearly discussed about the behavior management. I also explained that why it is important to have behavior management in early childhood education settings. It also describes the three things that a teacher can use to determine what the cause for a behavior issue is. Therefore it is also included in this paper the three support plans for childhood behaviors. The various behaviors that are highlighted in these plans include the screaming, biting, and kicking.
