Think about bullying and young children. Do you think that bullying is more apt to happen in a public school setting or a private school setting? Do you think the setting has any effect on bullying, or is it primarily the child’s age? Reflect on a bullying incident that you are aware of. The incident can include you as the victim, the bully, or a bystander. This may even be an incident that was reported in the news of which you are aware. Alternatively, you may share an incident that occurred with your own child or a child who is close to you. How could the situation have been changed or avoided?

According to the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry bullying is a relatively common experience in public and private schools. Bullying is still common in public school setting these days no doubt but it happen in private schools as well I don’t think it’s a different between the two kids are just so mean to one another these days.

Here I would like to share my experience I have custody of my 3 grandson they went to public school and got bullied pretty bad We moved a couple times in a couple years so they were perpetually the “new kid” on the block they are really small compared to some of the other kids so an easy target they are. At least one of the public schools they went to did absolutely squat about my grandson coming home with a black eye even when he was being hurt physically he was scared to walk home that’s sad I would say what’s going to happen today so I would met him as often as I could after school. One problem with our public schools is busing all my grandson go to different school but have the same address. Busing is one of the biggest issue I think kids are cooped up on buses up to an hour or more each way and fights break out while the drivers driving on the highway, I know that all so well I use to driver the schools bus also you never know what school they will send your kid to, and they will assign different kids in the same neighborhood different schools. In order to avoid this bullying behavior teacher and parents should stop or prevent that behavior in school as well as in home. Because bullying is a big issue parents are more involved and they listen to their children more there are three things parents and teachers can do to prevent bullying: from a number of researches it has been discovered that students feel safer in smaller schools or smaller classrooms settings. That is why smaller classrooms, Discipline staff as well as personnel can oversee students more successfully in a more close educational setting. In a small school kids are not just faces plus numbers, but genuine people with actual requirements which can be addressed by a specialized personnel. In that way we can avoid the situation. I also think if they go to school close to home makes a big different and keeping siblings together.
