Propose three ways that a mentor and a new employee orientation can assist employees with their career development.

Mentoring and new employee orientations are both effective steps that can be used to make new employees feel comfortable and welcomed in their new working environments. First, amentor can assist in explaining the responsibilitiesof the positon, what the expectations are, and what is acceptable and/or non-acceptable. Second, the mentor can explain to the company culture, what the company is all about, what the company actually does. And finally once the new employee is out of training in in the “Real World” of the working environment the mentor can be that experienced source that that the employee can use for a source of reference or just someone that they can go to when the stressors of the job is getting to them and they are thinking about quitting and the mentor can be that voice of reason, calming the employee down, letting them rant and then tell the new employee that everyone that works with the company has that feeling and offer assistance when needed.
