The word leadership can be defined as the position or function of a leader, a person who guides a certain group of people. The leaders have the ability and the skills to give direction to other people. Those people with strong leadership qualities are of high demand because they can foster good standards in any organization. Leadership arises from higher level of physical power that needs to display power and control over other people (Smith et al, 20030. This depends on the individual ability or the quality of an organization to give guide to the other team and how these leaders can influence their subjects to act responsibly.

Leadership can be applied in many areas either in organizations, educational centers or any other sector. It is believed that spiritual leadership can be nurtured by identification of those people with moral values different from other people. When these people have been identified they can be educated to promote their skills and knowledge. a person may be talented to lead a certain situation but cannot lead in another sector simply because the individual is able to lead a certain sector and not all situations. Improvement on leadership can be done to meet high levels of an organization (Smith et al, 2003)

There are big five qualities that contribute to the leadership skills which are the values, motives, social skills, expertise and lastly problem solving skills. If a leader has got these skills, he/she is able to foster good results in any organization level. Behavior of the leaders also matter a lot in situation because they act as role models to other people and they should market any organization to cultivate investors. The behavior should be effective for good leadership and communication between the leaders and workers should be effective to allow the subjects to feel free in the situation.

Sorgiovanni (2004) argues that in order to transform any leadership in any situation, there must be set expectations to be met and also set goals or objectives to be met. Leaders and their follower should work hand in hand to lift each other because team work is very important for an organization to meet high standards. To meet these levels of standards the members should be encouraged and people should look beyond their self-interest but the interest of the organization. Leaders should create an inspiring altitude towards those they are working with. They should also create future vision and motivate people to buy into and deliver that vision.

Any set vision has got no use by its own therefore it should be reality. Any leader should stay connected to any activity taking place in the working environment in order to answer the questions that may arise from the workers. You as a leader should focus your attention on your people in order to encourage and help them achieve their goals. In an organization there should be a good relationship between the leaders and their subjects (Mumford et all, 2009). This is created through building trust, being open to your people and acting honest to every individual in the organization.

According to Sergiovanni (2004) in today’s generation any gender can fit to be a leader if he/she has the qualities of a good leader. Traditionally, men were seen to be the leaders in the society which is now centrally in this generation whereby any parson can lead and give good direction to other people. If any leader has a core belief that can be communicated with clarity, concision and passion is then considered to be a leader. To be called a leader you should be able to persuade and inspire your subjects for them to see the vision and be convinced to work toward achieving it in any way.

There is great need for everyone to keep the beauty and fertility of our natural environment but most of the world’s biodiversity have been left occurring within the developing countries. This is because they hold high standards of leadership but they have got high levels of corruption which limits the environmental conservation. For instance, from the research carried out to investigate whether biodiversity is associated with governance. The results showed that there is a great relationship between the governance and the number of elephants whereby thy kept decreasing proving that there is corruption among the leaders ( Smith et al,2003).

Conclusion

The theory of leadership suggests that good leadership behavior depends on the leader’s ability and the skills. These skills are greatly seen where complex social problems arises and they need to be settled. There are differential characteristics and experience which can create influence on these leadership skills. In order to change the world there is need to truly connect with real people to successful execute the business. People think that they are unique in management and leadership whereas they behave the same to everyone while true innovators are those who possess courage and do things their own way.
