For this verbal communication to take place, I had to prepare myself mentally in thinking through what I wanted to say in my presentation within the 5 minute range. There is so much that can be said during an interview process that I had to write and rewrite out the questions and answers I wanted to be in my top 5.
Once I had a game plan on the top 5 questions and answers I wanted to discuss in my video I recorded myself 3 times, each time not liking how the questions and answers sounded. I even had my friend listen to what I was saying and asked for feedback.
One of the things I will do differently next time is wear my glasses instead of contacts as I look to be squinting in the video and I’m not sure that the audience can see my eye contact with them.
My week 8 assignment was late to do a personal manner (I email Professor Busby regarding this manner), so I didn’t really have any feedback. I will say that I think I had high energy in my practice presentation.
Over all I believe my message was concise and I directed the audience in the beginning as well as the close with the main point of the presentation. Questions and answers that are asked during an interview.
